Terms of Service
Last updated 24 October 2026
Nuvo Grade is operated by Nuvo Innovations in Alberta, Canada. These terms explain your responsibilities when using our answer-sheet and grading service.
Using the service
You must be an adult authorized to use the service for your school, institution or own teaching. Keep your account credentials secure and provide accurate account information. Students do not need an account. Do not share your account or give students access to your teacher workspace.
By creating an account or using Nuvo Grade, you agree to these terms. If you use it for an institution, you must have authority to do so. Our Privacy Policy and Payment Policy explain data handling and credit purchases.
Student data and your authority
Only upload student work and personal information you are authorized to process. Obtain the permissions, notices and institutional approvals required for your context, including any requirements involving children. Use the minimum identifying information needed; a student ID is usually sufficient.
You retain your rights in uploaded materials, answer keys and results. You authorize us to store and process them to provide, secure and support the service. Do not upload unlawful content or use the service to infringe anyone’s privacy or intellectual property rights.
Teacher review and grading accuracy
Recognition can be affected by image quality, handwriting, incomplete marks, incorrect keys and paper layout. Nuvo Grade highlights uncertain answers and identity conflicts, but it cannot guarantee that every error will be detected. Review results and resolve issues before relying on or sharing grades. You remain responsible for final grading decisions.
Short-answer responses are marked manually by teachers. Nuvo Grade does not independently assess the meaning or quality of handwritten answers. Keep your original sheets and export results you need for your records.
Credits and availability
Each account receives one welcome grant of 25 free credits. Additional credits are prepaid, do not expire and are not a subscription. The Payment Policy explains charges, duplicate reuse, corrections and refunds.
Features and availability may change. We may suspend access to address abuse, security incidents, unlawful activity or non-payment. We will provide notice where practical. Non-expiring credits remain subject to these terms; they do not promise that the service will operate forever. If we discontinue the service, we will communicate arrangements for unused paid credits consistent with applicable law.
Acceptable use
Do not bypass access controls or credit limits, create accounts to repeatedly claim welcome credits, interfere with other users, upload malicious files, scrape private student data or misrepresent grading results. Do not resell access without our written agreement.
Ending use and keeping records
You can stop using the service at any time. Deleting an exam removes it from your workspace; it does not necessarily erase every associated processing or billing record immediately. Contact hello@nuvohubs.com for account closure, access or deletion requests. We may need to verify your identity and retain information required for legal, accounting or security purposes.
Responsibility and applicable law
We provide the service with reasonable care, but do not promise uninterrupted availability or error-free recognition. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect losses caused by reliance on unreviewed results, loss of access or failures outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the applicable federal laws of Canada, subject to any mandatory protections that apply where you live. Contact hello@nuvohubs.com first to discuss a concern. We may update these terms and will provide notice of material changes through the service or by email where appropriate. The revision date appears above.
